I bought a chicken and ham on Saturday. This is the first time I have used this butchers but I will be making it my regular, the chicken was superb! The service is friendly and the range of meat stocked looked great.

Quality cuts, helpful team, good selection. Nice walkable location that makes it easy to pick up local supplies. We liked the bacon, lamb, and eggs.

As a large group, we stayed in Lydbrook for a long weekend, and got a pork shoulder roasting joint and beef chuck and skirt for a stew from David Sheppard's butchers. The meat was gorgeous. Provided the centrepiece to hang the weekend off. Thank you! Wil be back if we are in the area!

My family won a voucher for the butcher's, I've never actually been to a butchers myself so was excited to get some fresh delicious meat for me and my partner, our voucher got us a good sized gammon joint and some boar sausages and wow! After tonight's tea of sausage casserole, safe to say I will be visiting more often! So much nicer than what you get in the supermarket. The man who served me was very kind considering I struggle with an anxiety disorder and I felt very welcomed. I also think it's great how safe they are being during these covid times. Five stars!

Probable the best bacon in the world! Ask for his home cured bacon. Though all Davids meat is excellent! Friendly service, always happy to help. Old style quality Butcher in a young (is) head mmmmmm. We always take Davids bacon to our family in Genève when we visit.

5 stars are not enough for this wonderful butcher. We feel so lucky to have him in our local town. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the service we have received during lockdown has been superb. So many highlights in the wonderful range offered but I have to single out sausages. They are fabulous homemade taste sensations, Tintern being our favourite.

We shop here every 2 weeks. Lovely meat and enjoy a cooked breakfast with their Home Cured Bacon and their Forester Sausages. Did a great job in lockdown with local delivery

Fantastic local business offering the best meats you will find in the Forest and probably beyond. Well priced excellent quality and massive pride in standards we get our Christmas meat from here every year and also top up throughout the year when in the area. Huge range and great tasting meats. Wouldnt go or recommend anywhere else.
