Really good local bakery, best for focaccia and sour dough

Just bought a loaf of Cotswold Crunch sourdough bread and it is absolutely delicious. Although I don't live in the area I'll make a point of buying a loaf whenever I'm passing. The pastie was delicious too! Update. The loaf kept well for a few days and also made excellent toast. Next time I'm passing I'll buy 4 loaves and freeze 3.

The pastry was beautiful, and the lady that served me was incredibly kind despite almost being closing time.

They do a cracking mini Cornish pastie. Sorry no photo, I destroyed the evidence!

Staying in Coleford on holiday and this place was across the road from our flat. The products are lovely and of excellent quality and reasonable prices. The bread is gorgeous and the breakfast items like Belgian buns have been brilliant.

Went in to ask if they had anything vegan and even though they did I was actually told off for not phoning first and letting them know I’d be wanting some of the vegan food they sell ! Did the same thing a few weeks later (wasn’t planning on going there so didn’t call up to pre warn them a vegan would be coming in to the shop like they told me I had to) and was shouted at again. Apparently they get very upset by vegans thinking they can buy food without a prior appointment but don’t have any signs or warnings that they only sell their vegan food by appointment only. It’s a basic pasty shop not a five star restaurant. Who phones and books ahead to buy a sausage roll?! Actually tried phoning this time to avoid the humiliating telling off they give to vegans who don’t know the rules but they don’t actually answer the phone so it looks like I’m not allowed to be a customer. It’s also a massive issue that their delivery drivers park big trucks right outside the store while picking up or dropping off, since they are parked on the main roundabout in town completely blocking the view for 10-15 minutes at a time!

Always great Bread and cakes...willing and helpful staff..making up sandwiches when they have nothing left on hand.

Lovely bakery with nice bread and some gorgeous snacks, cakes and/or savouries. Staff are friendly and helpful and the bread is baked fresh in site. If you want to get some yummy bread look no further
